The LEAF Academy Essay Competition is open to all Slovak students aged 14 to 19. The competition has been organized along with the Bridge – English Language Center, Martinus bookstore, The SCELT, Growni, IAMbitious, and The Slovak Spectator.
All the first three winning places in every category will be awarded with our prizes! The winners can look forward to:
Book vouchers and merch from Martinus
Publishing of your essay in The Slovak Spectator online magazine
Mentoring and /or workshop sessions within GROWNi

Category A – students of 8th and 9th grades of Primary schools + students of Year 1 and Year 2 of Secondary schools:

Category B – students of Year 3 and Year 4 of Secondary schools
Is climate change the most serious threat to the world?
Do our schools today adequately prepare students for the real world?

Category C – anglophone students (students of bilingual secondary schools and students of any year who studied at English school abroad)
Will artificial intelligence help the world or hurt it?
Do movements like Black Lives Matter and #MeToo promote inclusiveness and awareness or division and inequality?
Are we losing the art of listening?
