We are seeking an experienced ESG Manager to lead the integration of ESG principles into our company, daily operations and our software development processes. Key Responsibilities:
Develop ESG Documentation: Prepare ESG-related documents, including policies, guidelines, and reporting templates, tailored to software development projects
Collaborate with Development Team: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to embed ESG considerations into the software development lifecycle.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all documentation and practices comply with relevant ESG regulations and standards, such as ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GRI, and TCFD.
Training and Awareness: Provide training and resources to the team on ESG topics, ensuring they understand their importance and how to integrate them into their work.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of ESG integration in software projects and recommend improvements to processes and documentation
Monitoring developments in the field of ESG and sustainability reporting - newsletters, documents, active participation in trainings and webinars
Participation in ESG events, networking, workshops
Writing articles on the SmartHead blog
Participation in meetings with potential clients, clients and partners
Preparation of communication materials if needed
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar position or with ESG topic
Knowledge of ESG Standards: Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, including ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GRI and/or TCFD
Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work individually and take a team-centric approach to work
Language skills: Fluent level of English and Slovak
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ESG concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Multitasking: Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and goal-oriented
Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving skills and presentation abilities
