Job description

Do you have project management experience and interest in topics such as affordable housing and energy resilience?
Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a driven Program Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting the organization’s development, implementation, and management of programs. In cooperation with project management teams and external project partners, the Program Specialist will strongly contribute to content part of funded projects, providing expertise on program themes.

What would be your responsibilities?

• Help developing project plans, coordinating tasks and monitoring progress within the projects
• Coordinate work packages and tasks of assigned funded projects.
• Provide content input to assigned tasks and work packages of the funded projects.
• Cooperate with project managers of assigned projects.
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing program activities and strategies.
• Coordinate day-to-day program operations, ensuring alignment with the program’s objectives and timelines as well as assigned funded project activities and timelines.
• Support the scheduling and organizing of program meetings, events, and training sessions, including preparing agendas, securing venues, and arranging logistics.
• Manage and maintain program documentation, including reports, records, and correspondence.
• Collect and analyze data on program activities, outcomes, and effectiveness, providing regular updates to the Program Development Lead.
• Assist in monitoring program performance
• Serve as a point of contact for program participants, stakeholders, and partners, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.
• Support in writing the proposal narrative, and development of the program concept.
• Conduct research on best practices, trends, and innovations related to the program’s field or project focus area.
• Assist in the development of new program initiatives and strategies based on research findings and feedback.

Who are we looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, European/social studies, business or other
• 3-5 years of experience in project management or related area
• Advanced English language skills
• Strong collaborative approach
• Good writing skills and ability to communicate efficiently
• Interest in international development and global development issues
