Habitat for Humanity International is looking for a driven and organized Communications Specialist to join our global team and lead our brand’s storytelling efforts in Europe and the Middle East. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to make a real impact and requires exceptional time management and prioritization skills. What would be your responsibilities?
Take ownership of developing and implementing communication strategies that support Habitat's regional and global objectives, working closely with regional leadership.
Coordinate content gathering and storytelling in Europe, Middle East and North Africa countries, supporting our programs, fundraising and advocacy.
Reinforce Habitat’s brand and communications standards among content-gatherers, setting clear guiderails around the development of stories, images, videos and other assets.
Review and edit key content and tools such as stories, photos, videos, press releases and communication strategies.
Help coordinate media interviews and other external communications opportunities related to Habitat’s work in the region, including preparation of key spokespeople.
Support communication activities around Habitat-sponsored events and forums in which Habitat participates.
Lead regional website management and social media engagement.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in communications or other field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, public relations or related field
• Fluency in English
• Proven ability to write and curate strong content while meeting brand and messaging needs
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders from across the globe
• Experience with managing social media
