Join our LEAF Academy team that are pioneers in building and delivering an innovative character education curriculum emphasizing self-discovery, well-being, and ethics through a variety of weekly seminars, student-centered activities, experiential programs, and outdoor adventure education.
This exciting opportunity will engage with the following skills/tasks:
Lead Engaging Character Seminars - Design and deliver weekly sessions for students aged 15-19, helping them explore personal growth, ethical decision-making, and resilience.
Create Transformative Experiential Programs - Develop and facilitate multi-day outdoor and character-driven experiences that challenge students, build leadership skills, and foster deep personal reflection.
Collaborate & Innovate Across Disciplines - Work with educators from different departments to design cross-disciplinary programs, integrating character education into the broader academic experience.
Co-design Character Education at LEAF Academy Contribute to curriculum development, feedback mechanisms, and impact measurement systems while co-designing meaningful projects and events with students.
Teaching AP Psychology
Besides the above-listed tasks, you will be expected to assume some of these responsibilities:
Advisory role - responsible for a small group of students, conducting regular weekly meetings, providing support and mentoring to students when necessary
Residential duties (upon agreement): regular weekday duties in the dormitory
Co-curriculars, sports, or a committee member (expected): being part of the co-curricular program, e.g., offering a club, supervising a sports activity, or being an active member of one of the LEAF Academy committees.
Minimum 3 years experience working with youth groups post graduation
Passion for the LEAF Academy’s mission, passion for the tasks / responsibilities listed above and alignment with our team values
Enthusiasm for working with young people
Experience in group facilitation and group dynamics, coaching and mentoring
Proactive mindset and self-motivation
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Advanced level of English language
Prior experience designing and facilitating programs with teenagers
Experience in curriculum and program development
Experience working with groups on multi-day, experiential and adventure education programs
Background in either character education, positive education, outdoor adventure education/experiential education, psychology, ethics or moral philosophy (preferred)
College/career counseling experience is an advantage
