Head of Admissions and Scouting

The Head of Admissions and Scouting is responsible for securing a strong, long-term pipeline of applicants who meet LEAF Academy’s desired quality and quantity. This role involves enhancing the Academy’s admissions function, including marketing, student recruitment, and selection. The selected candidate will set the department’s vision and ensure its effective execution.

The main responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement strategic admissions goals, objectives, and processes.

• Oversee the department’s personnel and material support to enhance effectiveness.

• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure a smooth admissions process.

• Handle financial management and budgeting for the department.

• Build and maintain partnerships with schools and education-focused NGOs.

• Integrate and model LEAF Academy’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the department’s work.

Besides the above-listed tasks, you will be expected to assume some of these responsibilities:

• Advisory role - responsible for a small group of students, conducting regular weekly meetings, and providing support and mentoring to students when necessary. 

• Residential duties (upon agreement): regular weekday duties in the dormitory.

• Co-curriculars, sports, or a committee member (expected): being part of the co-curricular program, e.g., offering a club, supervising a sports activity, or being an active member of one of the LEAF Academy committees.

Other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.

• Extended communication skills, being able to build rapport easily, and being a natural authority to various share and stakeholders (existing and prospective students, parents, schools, partners..)
