The role will work closely with the Director of Information Technology, IT Heads of Department (i.e., Project Delivery, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, IT services and Operations), and wider business stakeholders to ensure that all business capability needs are determined, delivered, and run reliably, securely and cost-effectively across InoBat Auto’s business locations in Slovakia. The IT manager is a trusted advisor to the business for all IT matters in BAU and project phases as well as a main focal point for all internal and external stakeholders in relation to IT matters.
- Contribute to the development of IT strategy, annual IT planning and budgeting, assuring maximum alignment between business and technology;
- define and manage the IT OPEX & CAPEX at the local level;
develop and implement the IT Policies Group/company-wide IT standards and IT policies;
- support the development and implementation of technology roadmaps for upgrading, replacing & retiring technology assets (e.g., infrastructure, security, data, applications, software) in line with manufacturer/supplier product roadmaps, initiating timely investment decisions to avoid end-of-life/support issues;
- analyze and prioritize the business needs in collaboration with a business line;
- promote cloud adoption in line with InoBat Auto IT strategy and architectural principles;
- build and maintain a prioritized, costed pipeline of future business demand;
- active support in the delivery of InoBat Auto projects from an IT perspective and support in change management;
manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure relevance of provided products and/or services and their alignment with contractual and commercial terms;
- manage day-to-day IT operations for the Voderady site and current/new facilities in Slovakia, being the IT focal point for all IT-related matters i.e., new requirements, service requests and any business continuity issues/service disruption;
- support project teams in the determination and delivery of business capability to the user base, ensuring appropriate steps are taken to promote business readiness (i.e., system owner, super users, training, testing & acceptance);
- analyze current business and IT environment to identify critical deficiencies, recommend improvement solutions and develop fit-for-purpose local business continuity and disaster recovery plans, which are periodically reviewed and evaluated;
- define, deliver, and maintain (in-house or through selected third-party vendors) a fit-for-purpose, scalable end-user compute environment. This will encompass but is not limited to, client devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobiles), local networks printing, telephony, and Wi-Fi, along with services such as Service Desk provision, pre-imaging of client devices, third-party procurement portals.
Minimum of 10 years demonstrable experience successfully operating as a Head of IT or Senior IT manager in a progressive, fast-paced manufacturing organization.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
Professional certifications, for example: Prince 2 Practitioner, ITIL v3/v4 Practitioner, Certified IT Manager (CITM), Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP).
Proven ability to manage diverse, technical, and operational IT teams;
sound working knowledge and proficiency in business analysis, project management, service management and vendor/outsource management
proven experience in running RFI/RFP competitive tender processes, vendor selection, contract negotiation, activation, and management would be advantageous
effective communication, people skills, and the ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders
demonstrable experience in building, managing & motivating high-performing teams, SMART objective setting and staff development
promote a continuous improvement/best-practice mindset, identifying areas to develop business-relevant professional skills, improve operational processes and drive the consistency & quality of service delivery;
strong integrity;
team player;
agility and adaptiveness in a fast-growing start-up environment;
working in a start-up/scale-up manufacturing/R&D company, with a sound practical knowledge of Smart factory operations i.e., high availability, highly connected, automated systems, and plant control devices & processes, would be advantageous.
Knowledge and experience with:
IT systems, architecture, infrastructure, business process, data, cyber;
both back-office IT (i.e., ERP/Microsoft) and operational technology (i.e., Manufacturing systems such as PLM & MES);
Siemens manufacturing products such as Teamcenter, OpCenter and Mindsphere, and the IFS ERP platform would be advantageous;
Microsoft products & services (i.e., M365, Azure, Power BI, Microsoft XDR, ATP and InTune) with experience of enterprise licensing.
