Join LEAF Academy as an experienced Math & Computer Science Educator

• Shape an Innovative Program – Play a key role in designing and refining a world-class Mathematics and Computer Science curriculum. Beyond teaching, you'll help build and adapt course content to meet the needs of modern learners.

• Teach & Mentor – Guide students through a two-year program that strengthens critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Foster their ability to model, calculate, and communicate mathematical ideas effectively.

• Experiential & Student-Centered Learning – Encourage hands-on, real-world applications of math and computer science, incorporating entrepreneurial leadership and interdisciplinary approaches. Lessons focus on developing students' own thinking strategies and adapting to diverse learning needs.

• Advanced Course Offerings – Teach a range of topics, from core mathematical foundations to advanced courses such as Mathematical Modeling & Statistics and AP Statistics. Students gain experience with probability, linear regression, data representation, and hypothesis testing.

• Competency-Based Assessment & Reflection – Use assessment methods that prioritize individual student growth, leveraging rubrics and student self-reflection. Encourage learners to connect their work to real-life applications and continuously refine their understanding.

Besides the above-mentioned responsibilities assume: 

• Advisory role - responsible for a small group of students, conducting regular weekly meetings, and providing support and mentoring to students when necessary. 

• Residential duties (upon agreement): regular weekday duties in the dormitory.

• Co-curriculars, sports, or a committee member (expected): being part of the co-curricular program, e.g., offering a club, supervising a sports activity, or being an active member of the seminal readings committee.

Besides other responsibilities, the teacher is responsible for (applies to any type of contract):

• Getting familiar with the AP Statistics & LEAF Academy Math and Computer Science curriculum.

• Doing formative and summative assessments of students.

• Support students also outside of classes if needed.
