MTBIKER is the leading cycling e-commerce and retailer in Slovakia with 25M+ group turnover, 6 stores and a community of 500 000 users. We are on a mission to become the top cycling and outdoor e-commerce and community in the CEE region. We are growing our presence in Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Romania and many more European countries. MTBIKER started in 1998 as a tiny website for mountain biking enthusiasts in Slovakia. It has been my personal project throughout high school, university and full-time work in London. As the community grew, so did the team and the ambition - we have launched an e-shop in late 2014 and I became focused full time in 2015. We have grown from zero revenue to 25M+ in 10 years. - Leading provider of psychographic data for display ad targeting and credit scoring. - 500m active unique profiles with 25bn datapoints per month. - Scalable tech infrastructure to support high velocity data ingestion and data modelling. Promoted to CTO after 2 years in a TLM role. Built the 50+ member technology and data science team from (almost) scratch. Mainly focused on recruitment, team structure, culture, technology architecture and strategy. Opened and operated an engineering centre in Bratislava, Slovakia.
