Hello from Vestberry! We've been building a fintech analytical platform for the last four years, helping investment funds to manage their capital smarter. Over the coming years we want to become the go-to solution for successful venture capital & private equity investors. As a result, we’re looking for an experienced product manager to join our growing product team, someone who will help us tackle all sorts of problems and create new features. Your role will lie at the intersection of client feedback, user research, business and product strategy, design, engineering, and testing.
Your main responsibilities:
Drive product features and business objectives across the cross-functional teams within our product department.
Identify the most important problems and client needs, describe them in detail with related edge cases, and propose improvements to maximize positive impact on the customer experience.
Actively engage clients, drive regular feedback loops, and be directly responsible for the outcomes.
Own features through the entire product lifecycle: ideation, design, planning, and delivery.
Help to shape the roadmap for the product in alignment with business objectives and develop, implement, and maintain feature timelines across multiple departments.
Lead the prioritization and execution of discovery initiatives within your team and contribute to the continuous improvement of discovery processes.
Write technical documentation for internal knowledge transfer and its persistence.
Help to develop and use best practices to measure, understand, and optimize the success of the product.
We do not have strict rules; you are only required to attend our stand-ups every morning. Whether you like to take a nap after lunch or have various tasks to get done throughout the day, it’s up to you how you manage your time.
Regardless of the specifics of your career journey, you should be able to demonstrate:
Experience with product management for at least 1-2 years.
Broad technical knowledge, and understanding of back-end/front-end application infrastructure.
Proficiency in using data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations and drive actions.
Ability to assess and decide between multiple competing priorities.
Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate new opportunities and ideas with internal and external partners.
Strong ownership, demonstrated by an ability to lead initiatives from their inception through implementation to maintenance, with little oversight. Experience in working in cross-functional agile teams to successfully deliver results.
Excellent communication skills that include professional English and the delivery of clear and concise messages that resonate with customers/internal stakeholders.
Experience in writing technical documentation.
What we offer:
We believe Vestberry is an opportunity to work on a successful local project in the fintech sector with clients worldwide. It's still “just work,” and we try not to take ourselves too seriously, so we place importance on creating an environment where we can enjoy ourselves most of the time.
Vestberry isn't our first rodeo. While our average age is 30, we've already been through stuff, know where our boundaries are, and have a culture where it's OK to admit we don't know something. That's why we love people who know more than us and frequently engage them as consultants or hire them full-time. Also, we have an atmosphere of mutual trust and growth. We share “typically hidden” details during our all-hands, answer all questions, and often have team-generated sessions where we learn from each other.
