Náplň práce

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
2. Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on
specific project topics.
3. Perform general office maintenance and conduct procurement of services and goods in line with internal rules and donor reporting requirements including communication with suppliers, market research and supplier contracts preparation;
4. Assist in delivering project outcomes such as: editing of publications, incorporation of comments, checking translations, etc.;
5. Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.
6. Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
7. Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
8. Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.
9. Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions;
10. Participate in meetings and conferences; maintain effective liaison and coordination with European Commission - DG REFORM, Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic (MoI), Migration Office of the MoI (MO), other ministries, local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.
11. Act as interpreter/translator (Slovak-English, English-Slovak and other foreign languages if appropriate);
12. Elaborate narrative and financial reports; ensure status reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Koho hľadáme


Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
• Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with at least five years of relevant working experience, preferably in similar roles.


• Experience working in an office environment and carrying out administrative, procurement and organizational tasks, including organization of different in-person and online events (e.g. conferences, seminars, webinars);
• Experience in administration and financial reporting of EU or other donor-funded projects;
• Experience in tasks related to preparation/finalization of publications (e.g. editing, translation, proofreading);
• Experience working in similar function and/or with national, regional or international public bodies is a distinct advantage;
• Experience in working with labour migration, migration management, and international migration issues is an advantage.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills;
• Excellent command of MS Office.
• Ability and willingness to drive (driving licence B) and travel within Slovakia;
• Strong planning skills and strong in keeping deadlines;
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with a team.

• Fluency in English and Slovak (oral and written).
• Knowledge of another official IOM (French, Spanish) language is an advantage.
